Roles included the maid in ''A Man For All Seasons'' and the matron in ''Doctor Finlay's Casebook''. She was one of the co-founders of Glasgow's Curtain theatre company in 1933, and during World War Two she set up and ran her own theatre company, the MSU Theatre, in Dumbarton, Scotland.
A dramatised version of her life was performed by Dumbarton People's Theatre. There is also a biography of Molly written by Helen Murdoch which is entitled ''Travelling Hopefully: The Story of Molly Urquhart''.〔Murdoch, ''TRAVELLING HOPEFULLY The Story of Molly Urquhart'',Edinburgh: Paul Harris Publishing, 1981〕
